Definition
Hydrogen tablets and SPE/PEM electrolysis are two fundamentally different ways of producing hydrogen: one consumes a reactive chemical pellet, the other splits water electrochemically at a membrane.
Warning: reactive material degrades
Tablet output is inseparable from tablet degradation. The reactive material must break down to release gas, and that breakdown can leave trace contaminants — including heavy metals — in the water.
Compared to SPE/PEM electrolysis
Electrolysis is a purity-controlled, continuous process. There is no dissolving material, no chemical residue and no batch-to-batch variability in what enters the water.
