Yes. Every machine ships free worldwide, tracked door-to-door, typically 10 business days. Customs duties and local taxes are prepaid by us before dispatch wherever the destination country permits (DDP) — the price you see is then the price you pay. In countries that don't accept DDP, the carrier collects applicable duties and taxes on arrival; we email you when the shipment clears, before any payment is requested. Most first-time buyers choose the HERO Inhaler Go at $1,795. If you want a quieter daily-protocol machine, look at the HERO Inhaler 1200. If you want maximum versatility (inhalation + drinking water) the HERO Dual 20 is the pick. The HERO Inhaler 2000 is the highest-output inhaler in the range. For bathing, choose the HERO Bath.

Yes — in full and without charge within 24 hours of placing it. Email admin@hydrogenmachines.com.au quoting your order number. After 24 hours the order enters dispatch preparation: freight and import charges are committed at that point, so the order can no longer be cancelled. The separate 90-day change-of-mind return window on machines still applies from the delivery date, less any committed DDP freight and import charges. Rights for damaged, defective or incorrect goods are unaffected.
All Australian prices are shown in AUD and include GST 10% where applicable. Your order confirmation shows GST 10% (Australia) as Included.
Import GST is paid by the logistics provider on entry under DDP and is generally not creditable to the recipient. If you hold an ABN and intend to claim an input tax credit, obtain your own import documentation and confirm treatment with your tax adviser. We can't give tax advice.
Under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), freight, customs clearance and import duties and taxes are arranged and paid by us or our logistics provider before delivery. Nothing further is payable at the door. Import charges already settled are not refundable once the shipment has been entered for import.
FCC Part 15 Subpart B is the US federal electromagnetic emissions standard for electronic devices. Unlike CE certification, which can be self-declared, FCC Part 15 Subpart B requires independent laboratory testing by an accredited facility — conducted and radiated emission testing across the full frequency range, in a calibrated anechoic chamber. Seven machines in our range carry FCC Part 15 Subpart B compliance: HERO Inhaler 900, HERO Inhaler 1200, HERO Inhaler 2000, HERO Inhaler Pro 3000, QY-F6000, QY-F8400 and HERO Bath. Molecular hydrogen — the basics

Molecular hydrogen is the smallest, lightest molecule — two hydrogen atoms bonded together. At wellness-inhalation concentrations it's odourless, tasteless and non-toxic.
A hydrogen water machine uses PEM/SPE electrolysis to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, then dissolves the hydrogen back into drinking water. The result is regular water (still H₂O) with extra dissolved molecular hydrogen gas — typically 0.5–1.6 ppm on consumer units. See our full explainer in the hydrogen water guide.
A small electrical current is passed through a proton exchange membrane (PEM) sitting in distilled water. The membrane splits water into hydrogen on one side and oxygen on the other, keeping the two gas streams separate. The hydrogen is then either fed into drinking water (for water machines) or sent to a cannula or face mask (for inhalation machines).
A hydrogen inhalation machine produces molecular hydrogen gas (H₂) via PEM/SPE electrolysis and delivers it via nasal cannula or face mask. Inhalation delivers a much larger H₂ dose per session than drinking hydrogen water, because the gas goes straight into the lungs rather than dissolving into water.
There's no single 'best' — it depends on whether you want drinking water, inhalation, or full-body bathing, and on your daily session length. A hydrogen bath is a regular bath with extra molecular hydrogen in the water. The HERO Bath produces hydrogen-rich water and delivers it into the bath at 3,500 ml/min — no plumbing required, free-standing unit that sits beside the tub.

At the concentrations produced by consumer machines, the published literature reports no significant adverse effects in healthy adults. The most commonly user-reported issues are mild headaches in the first few inhalation sessions (resolves by ramping up gradually) and loose stools from magnesium-tablet hydrogen water (caused by the magnesium, not the H₂). Over 1,000 peer-reviewed publications describe H₂ as a selective antioxidant — meaning it preferentially reacts with the most reactive radical species while leaving signalling radicals intact. It's an emerging research field, not a settled area of clinical practice.

The HERO Bath is a portable benchtop unit. Sit it next to your bath, drop the delivery hose into the water, and turn it on — no plumbing required.
Both. Every machine splits water by electrolysis into hydrogen and oxygen at the natural 2:1 ratio (2H₂O → 2H₂ + O₂), and the PEM membrane keeps the two streams separated at the outlets. You have three options: Mode 1 — Hydrogen only: connect the cannula to the H₂ outlet. The oxygen stream vents separately. Mode 2 — Combined hydrogen + oxygen (2:1): join both outlets with the included Y connector and breathe the full combined hydrogen–oxygen flow. Mode 3 — Two users: with the dual cannula accessory, one machine runs two people at once. Safety note: the gas is delivered at low flow into ambient air through an open cannula — it is not stored or pressurised. Keep the unit away from open flames or ignition sources during operation. Getting started & daily care
Water, sessions and looking after the machine between uses.
Distilled or deionised water only — double-distilled is even better. Never use tap water, spring water, mineral water or filtered tap water. Dissolved minerals scale the PEM/SPE stack, drop hydrogen output and shorten the life of the electrolysis cell. This is the single most common cause of warranty issues. Empty, rinse and refill with fresh distilled or deionised water at least every 20 days under normal daily use. Change it sooner if the water looks cloudy, discoloured or has any visible particles — that's a sign of contamination or mineral buildup and the machine will run cleaner on a fresh fill.
Leave a small amount of distilled water in the reservoir so the PEM/SPE membrane stays hydrated. A fully dry membrane can crack or degrade, which permanently lowers hydrogen output. If you're storing the unit for longer than a couple of weeks unused, top up to the minimum fill line rather than draining it completely.
Try to keep talking to a minimum while inhaling. The cannula delivers a steady, low flow of hydrogen into your nose — every time you open your mouth to speak you breathe in more room air and less of that hydrogen stream, so the dose reaching your lungs drops. Most people use sessions to read, rest, meditate, work quietly or sleep. Short conversations are fine; long phone calls partly defeat the purpose.
Start short. Most first-time users do 10-minute sessions for the first few days, then add roughly 10 minutes every three days if they feel fine, until they reach the duration they're aiming for. Ramping up gradually is more important on the higher-flow models (HERO Inhaler 2000, HERO Dual 20) than on the entry-level HERO Inhaler Go. If anything feels off — light-headedness, headache, anything unusual — stop, return to a shorter session length, and speak to a clinician before continuing.
There is no single correct duration — it depends on the model's flow rate and what you're aiming for. A common community starting point is around one hour per day at ~900 ml/min, with more active users doing 1–2 hour sessions morning, midday and evening. Session time scales with flow rate: one hour at 900 ml/min is roughly equivalent to 30 minutes at 1,800 ml/min. These are general guidelines from the wider hydrogen-user community, not a medical protocol — Hydrogen Machines products are wellness devices and we don't prescribe doses.
Yes — that's normal. Hydrogen is colourless, odourless and tasteless, and the flow out of a cannula is gentle relative to your normal breathing (an adult moves several litres of air per minute even at rest). The simple at-home check: disconnect the cannula and dip its tip a couple of centimetres into a glass of water. You should see a steady stream of fine bubbles. If you don't, contact us — that points to either a water issue (wrong water type, low level) or a hardware fault.
At the inhaled concentrations produced by consumer machines, the published literature has not established a toxic dose — hydrogen that isn't absorbed by the body is simply exhaled. That said, "no established toxic dose" is not the same as "unlimited is beneficial". Build up gradually, listen to your body, and if you have an underlying medical condition or take medication, talk to a qualified clinician about what's appropriate for you.
In normal home use, no. Hydrogen is only flammable in air at concentrations between roughly 4% and 75%. Our inhalers produce a small, continuous flow (hundreds of ml/min up to ~1.8 L/min on the highest-output model) that disperses into ambient room air — many orders of magnitude below the lower flammability limit in any normally ventilated room. Sensible precautions still apply: use the machine in a ventilated space, and keep it away from open flames, lit cigarettes, gas hobs and other ignition sources while it's running. The PEM/SPE membrane separates hydrogen and oxygen inside the machine, so the gas at the cannula is not a pre-mixed flammable blend.
