Hydrogen Therapy

Quick summary

Hydrogen therapy is a general wellness modality in which molecular hydrogen produced by PEM/SPE electrolysis is either inhaled through a nasal cannula or dissolved into bathwater, explained here in a consumer-safe, non-medical format.

  • Two primary consumer formats: inhalation of hydrogen gas and full-body hydrogen bathing.
  • PEM/SPE electrolysis splits pure water so the hydrogen stream can be separated and its purity measured.
  • Hydrogen Machines systems are general wellness devices, not medical devices.

Modality overview

“Hydrogen therapy” is an informal umbrella phrase rather than a regulated device category. It describes wellness routines built around molecular hydrogen (H₂), the smallest and lightest molecule there is, generated on demand by an electrolysis cell rather than added chemically.

Because the phrase is loose, the first useful question about any claim is: which modality, and produced how? A bath, a cannula session and a glass of hydrogen-rich water share only the molecule.

Inhalation vs bathing

Inhalation delivers hydrogen gas directly during a seated session, typically twenty to sixty minutes. The specification that matters is hydrogen flow rate in millilitres per minute, and whether that number describes pure hydrogen or a hydrogen-oxygen mixture.

Hydrogen bathing dissolves hydrogen into bathwater, so exposure is whole-body and passive for the length of the bath. Here the specification is dissolved hydrogen concentration in the water and how well it holds through a session. Neither format applies heat as its mechanism.

Purity

Purity describes the gas leaving the machine. It is a hardware and manufacturing property, verified by measurement, and it says nothing about health outcomes. Our inhalation systems have been independently purity-tested by a third-party laboratory (QTT reports LH2025050017 and LH2025050018).

Certification marks follow the same logic: CE, FCC and RoHS describe electrical safety and materials compliance for the hardware, not medical status.

Routines

In practice owners fold hydrogen into an existing routine rather than treating it as an event — a session while reading in the morning, or a bath after a hard training day. Consistency is what most owners say they optimise for, which makes device noise, water handling and maintenance effort more important than headline numbers.

Safety framing

Hydrogen used in these formats is generated at low pressure and low volume, with no storage cylinder involved. Follow the manual, keep the room ventilated as instructed and use distilled water where specified.

We make no claims about health outcomes. If you are pregnant, using oxygen therapy or under medical care, speak to your own health professional before starting any new wellness routine.
