Distilled water is fed into a PEM/SPE electrolysis cell. Applying current across the solid polymer membrane splits the water into hydrogen and oxygen, and the membrane keeps the two streams separate. The hydrogen passes through a humidifier bottle and out to a nasal cannula, so you breathe it normally during a seated session. Nothing is combusted, pressurised into a cylinder, or chemically added.

The core difference is flow. The HERO Inhaler Go 1000 and Go 1500 are the entry units (1,000 and 1,500 ml/min combined flow). The HERO Inhaler 900 is the daily-protocol unit at 900 ml/min combined ⁄ 600 ml/min pure H₂. The HERO Inhaler 1500 sits mid-range at 1,500 ml/min combined ⁄ 1,000 ml/min pure H₂. The HERO Dual 20 adds hydrogen-rich water production alongside inhalation and is offered in three flow tiers. The HERO Inhaler Pro 3000 is the flagship at 3,000 ml/min combined flow, intended for multi-user or practitioner settings.

Match the machine to how many people use it at once, not to a bigger number. One person on a daily routine is well served by a Go model or the HERO Inhaler 900. Two people sharing sessions suit the 1500 or the Dual 20. Clinics, studios and households running two to three concurrent users are the case for the HERO Inhaler Pro 3000. If you also want hydrogen-rich drinking water from the same unit, the Dual 20 is the one that does both.

Most owners run 20 to 60 minutes, once or twice a day, usually while reading, working or winding down. There is no benefit we claim from longer sessions, and the supplied guidance is a starting routine rather than a prescription. Session length is a personal preference — discuss it with your own health professional if you have any health considerations.

Distilled water only. Tap, filtered, mineral and spring water all carry dissolved solids that foul a PEM membrane and shorten cell life. Routine maintenance is refilling the reservoir, keeping the humidifier bottle clean, replacing the cannula periodically, and draining the unit if it will sit unused. There is no electrolyte to mix or replace, which is the practical advantage of PEM/SPE over liquid-electrolyte systems.
