Returns & Refunds

You may return any machine in original, undamaged packaging within 90 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product price. Original outbound shipping was free; return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the unit arrived damaged or faulty.

This window is separate from the 24-hour order cancellation window in section 6. Cancelling an order before it ships and returning a delivered machine are two different things: after dispatch preparation begins an order can no longer be cancelled, but the 90-day return window below still applies once the machine is delivered. Where a shipment travelled DDP, freight and import charges already committed on it are deducted from a change-of-mind refund. Accessories and consumables are excluded, as set out in section 5.

Email admin@hydrogenmachines.com.au with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll send you a return address and the steps to follow.

Once the returned machine has been received and inspected (typically within 3 business days of arrival), we issue the refund to the original payment method. Card refunds usually settle within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method for the amount actually charged, GST-inclusive where GST applied. Where import duties and taxes were settled by the logistics provider under DDP, those amounts are not recoverable once the shipment has entered the destination country and are not included in a refund.

If the machine arrived damaged or doesn't work as described, contact us immediately and we'll replace it or refund it — your choice. We cover return shipping in this case.

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for accessories, consumables, replacement filters, tubing, cannulas, masks, fittings, water-treatment components, or other accessory items once dispatched.

This restriction exists because many accessories are hygiene-related, consumable in nature, or intended for direct connection to hydrogen generation systems.

If an accessory arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will work with you to provide a replacement, repair, or other appropriate remedy.

This policy does not limit any rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.

Orders may be cancelled in full, without charge, within 24 hours of order placement by emailing admin@hydrogenmachines.com.au and quoting the order number. After 24 hours the order enters dispatch preparation and the clauses below apply. Cancellation is separate from the 90-day change-of-mind return window, which runs from the delivery date.

Once dispatch preparation has begun the order can no longer be cancelled, because freight, customs clearance and import charges are committed at that point. This is separate from the 90-day change-of-mind return window, which still applies from the delivery date: on a change-of-mind return the product price is refunded, less any DDP freight and import charges already committed on the shipment, and return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for accessories and consumables once dispatched. Rights in respect of goods that are damaged, defective, incorrect or that fail applicable consumer guarantees are unaffected.

Shipments are sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) where available. Freight, customs clearance and import charges are arranged and paid by the seller or its logistics provider before delivery, and are committed at the point dispatch preparation begins.

Import GST is assessed on entry to the destination country and is paid by the logistics provider under DDP. It is generally not creditable to the recipient and is not refundable once the shipment has been entered for import.
