The machine arrives as a single crated pallet, delivered kerbside with a call ahead to arrange the window. Haussmannian buildings and older immeubles often have a small lift and a tight stairwell — check your access route and, where needed, book the service entrance before delivery day.

France is a DDP (delivered duty paid) destination for us. EU import duty and French TVA are prepaid before dispatch, so the shipment clears without a customs invoice, an advancement fee or a frais de dossier from the carrier.

This is the usual failure point on imported appliances: the headline price looks fine until TVA at 20% and a clearance fee arrive weeks later. That does not happen here.

France runs 230V at 50Hz on the Type E socket, which uses an earthing pin in the outlet rather than the side clips of German Schuko. Units routed to France are supplied for Type E, so there is no adapter or transformer involved.

NF C 15-100 requires bathroom circuits to sit behind a 30 mA RCD and observes strict volume zones around the bath. Keep the machine outside the immediate splash volume, on its own grounded circuit rather than sharing with a heater or hair dryer.

The hardware is CE marked and manufactured under ISO 9001 with RoHS compliance. Those marks describe electrical safety, EMC and manufacturing standards — not medical or therapeutic approval. HERO Bath is a general wellness device, not a medical device.

Île-de-France, the Nord, Alsace and much of the Paris basin sit on hard limestone-fed supply — eau très calcaire by any measure. An inline pre-filter on the fill line keeps scale off the internals and holds output steady over years of daily bathing.

Brittany, parts of the Massif Central and much of the Alpine supply run soft, where no additional filtration is needed.

Households already running an adoucisseur do not need anything further on the fill line.

A 24-month manufacturer warranty runs from delivery, with a 90-day return window from arrival. Claims go directly to the Hydrogen Machines team — there is no French distributor to route through.

Diagnostics are handled remotely first over email and WhatsApp, in English; where a part is required, replacements ship into France with duties prepaid. Messages are answered within one business day.
