Why longevity claims are structurally hard
Demonstrating an effect on human lifespan requires following large numbers of people for decades while controlling for everything else in their lives. Essentially no consumer wellness product has that evidence, and hydrogen is no exception.
This is not a criticism of hydrogen specifically. It is a structural feature of the question.
What ageing research measures instead
Because lifespan trials are impractical, researchers use surrogates: markers of oxidative and inflammatory activity, functional measures like grip strength or gait speed, and epigenetic “clock” estimates.
Every one of these is a proxy. Proxies can move without the underlying thing moving, which is precisely why longevity marketing so often quotes them.
Where hydrogen genuinely appears
Hydrogen shows up in this space because oxidative stress is one component of several ageing models, and hydrogen research clusters around oxidative processes. That is a topical adjacency, not a demonstrated anti-ageing effect.
Treat the leap from “studied in relation to oxidative stress” to “slows ageing” as the unsupported step it is.
A checklist for longevity claims
Ask what was measured, in whom, for how long, and against what control. Ask whether the outcome was a proxy or a real-world endpoint. Ask whether the product being sold is the thing that was studied, at the dose that was studied.
Most longevity claims fail at the first or second question.
Our position
We make no longevity, anti-ageing or biological-age claims for our products, and we will not. What we document is hardware: PEM/SPE cell design, output, independently verified purity and hardware certification.
