Delivery windows across New Zealand
Orders are dispatched from Sydney and then run 10 business days door-to-door on an express courier service.
Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, Northland, the West Coast, Central Otago and Southland are all quoted the same 10 business day window.
Freight is included in the machine price. Delivery is kerbside from a single crated pallet, with the carrier calling ahead to book a window — worth noting for rural delivery addresses where the truck needs access.
GST, customs and NZ$ pricing
New Zealand is a DDP (delivered duty paid) destination for us. Import GST and any duty are prepaid before dispatch, so there is no NZ Customs charge, no Import Entry Transaction Fee and no biosecurity levy to settle before the courier will release the machine.
Pricing is set at USD $9,500 delivered and displayed on this site in New Zealand dollars at the live rate, so the figure you see is the landed cost in your own currency rather than an Australian price you have to convert yourself.
New Zealand electrical standard (230V, Type I)
New Zealand runs 230V at 50Hz on the AS/NZS 3112 flat-pin plug shared with Australia. HERO Bath ships in that configuration as standard — no transformer, no adapter and nothing for an electrician to change.
New Zealand's wiring rules require RCD protection on bathroom circuits in modern installs. Plug the machine into an earthed, RCD-protected outlet on a circuit that is not already loaded by a heater or towel rail; in older villas without RCD coverage, have that added before use.
The hardware is manufactured under ISO 9001 and carries CE and RoHS marks. These describe hardware and manufacturing standards, not medical or therapeutic approval — HERO Bath is a general wellness device.
Water supply: city, tank and bore
Reticulated supply across most New Zealand cities is soft, so scale is rarely the limiting factor here and no additional pre-filter is required for city installs.
Rural households on roof-collected tank water or bore water should fit an inline sediment filter on the fill line. On those supplies the risk is suspended solids and iron rather than hardness, and a basic cartridge handles it.
If you already run whole-of-house filtration or UV treatment, feed the machine downstream of it.
Warranty and trans-Tasman support
A 24-month manufacturer warranty runs from delivery, with a 90-day return window from arrival. There is no New Zealand distributor between you and us.
Support comes directly from the Hydrogen Machines team in Australia, two to three hours behind NZ time depending on daylight saving, so a message sent in your morning is normally answered the same day.
Replacement parts ship trans-Tasman with duties prepaid. Consumables and filters for the range are stocked and ship on the same lane.
